Hi! My name is Caitlin, and I am a current high school senior at the Branson School in the Northern California Bay Area. As a Spanish-speaker myself, I was inspired to create Translation Station after seeing the impact of COVID-19 on my local community. It was difficult to understand all of the information being circulated as a native English-speaker, and I could not imagine the hardship limited English-speaking members of the community may have been facing. I hope we can use translation as a means to bridge communities and engage young, talented minds with a pressing societal need.
